The Hall of shame is a valuable tool to both the league page designer and the league's we service. Although this is a free tool for both designers and league's to use, it does cost money to keep it running. Please help us keep the Hall of Shame around and make a donation. Welcome to the LDU Hall of Shame
This site has been put together to protect those who design league pages and digital
images for commercial use from bandwidth theft, layout theft, image theft, and image misuse.
Many people think that since its placed on the internet its free to use and do with as you wish.
That is not true. We, the designers, pay for our domain, hosting site, images used to create our
pages, and resources to create graphics. We do provide "free" pages to use as well as "paid" pages
for sale. Just because a page is "free" does not mean you can tear them apart and place your name
on them. Just because you purchased a poser tube does not mean you don't have to give proper credit
to the creator of the tube. Same goes for paid pages, just because you purchase the page does not
mean you have purchased the rights to tear it apart and create something from it of your own.
 Bandwidth Theft
This is a HUGE issue. We pay for our hosting sites, we provide you with the pages/images to use. But
that does not mean you can remove an image or background from our pages and use it on your own leaving the
link in place to our webhost. That is bandwith theft and it is a serious issue which all hosting sites
recognize. If you have one of our images/backgrounds on your page that has been taken off one of our free
or paid pages and you use it on your site without our permission, then you are liable for any bandwith usage
caused to our webhost. You can also get your site shut down for bandwith theft.
Tearing Apart a Page/Layout
Tearing apart a page, be it a league page or tourney page, using the background or images placed on these
pages to make your own page is against designers TOU's. This happens a lot and its about time it stops.
If any league or designer is caught using "bits and parts" from our league pages or tourney pages without
having permission from the designer who did the page where he images or coding has come from, we will file
a complaint with the site that is hosting your pages/site to get them removed. We will also place your league
or design site in our "Hall of Shame."
Tearing apart a layout, and before you even think to say "html is free," you might want to read www.whatiscopyright.org.
We have TOU's that are place on our sites, before tearing apart or copying one of the layouts that you see on our sites
you should be aware of the fact that this is copyright infringement and we will file a complaint with your webhost
and put you in the Hall of Shame if you should not concede to the original author/designers request to remedy the
situation.
* Note to all league designers:
Even though you may be listed as a member of this group, at anytime if found that you have copied someone elses
work without prior written permission from the original designer, you will be removed from the list of protected
designers and placed in the HOS. Just because you're a designer does not give you the right to go to another designers
site and "borrow" their ideas and layouts. Think before you place anything on your site that was not done by you.
